Sentimental Bracelet Recovered on Long Beach Island (LBI)

Around lunchtime, I received a call from Kim about a lost bracelet on the beach in Long Beach Island (LBI). I missed her call at first due to spotty cell service, as I was also out enjoying the day with family at another part of LBI. I called her back as soon as I could.
Kim explained that her son, Liam, had been playing soccer on the beach with his cousins when he realized his cherished bracelet had gone missing. It was a special piece he had purchased years ago in the Virgin Islands, and it held deep sentimental value. I told Kim I’d be happy to help and advised her to have Liam mark off the area with beach chairs or towels to keep the location undisturbed.
We agreed to meet later that evening near the LBI dune crossover. Liam met me at the walkover and showed me the general area where they had been playing. Luckily, the game space was small—about 50×50 feet—since the other kids were younger. Liam pointed to the far end of the section as the most likely spot where the bracelet had fallen off.
I began searching that end and had almost finished sweeping the entire zone when I decided to expand my search just a bit. Within minutes, I hit a strong signal—Liam’s bracelet was safely in my scoop.
I casually confirmed with Liam that this was the correct spot, then surprised him with the bracelet. He was thrilled—and so was his mom.
Another successful recovery on Long Beach Island, and another sentimental item returned thanks to quick thinking, local knowledge, and the right equipment.
