Apple Watch Recovered on the Beach After Two Days – LBI

I received a call from Jennifer regarding her son Will’s lost Apple Watch on the beach. They had been spending the day on a relatively private stretch of beach on Long Beach Island (LBI) when Will removed his watch and placed it in the cup holder of a beach chair. Later in the day, it was gone.

Jennifer explained they had been sitting near the middle of the beach, far from the tide line, so there was a strong chance the watch hadn’t been washed away. She initially wanted some time to think it over, but called me back two days later and asked if I could meet them to search.

Will walked me right to the spot. He was a sharp, detail-oriented young man and explained every movement he made that day—exactly where he was sitting, when he removed the watch, and when he last saw it.

I set up a tight grid in the area he described, and within 15 minutes, I got a solid signal from my detector. Will’s Apple Watch was safely in my scoop, buried in the sand but undamaged.

Will gave me a high five, and Jennifer was absolutely thrilled. Even after two days, the watch was recovered thanks to Will’s precise memory and a fast, professional search. Another successful tech recovery on Long Beach Island!
