It was very late in the evening when I heard my phone ding—a text from Skylar, who had lost three extremely precious rings earlier that day. By the time we connected over the phone, it was around 3 A.M. Skylar agreed to remove the location details from the post, and I decided to head out to the spot and attempt to recover the rings.
