Lost Rings Recovered in the Sand – LBI Beach Save!

It was a perfect day at the beach when Nicole and her friends headed out to soak up the sun on beautiful Long Beach Island. At one point, Nicole took off her rings to apply sunscreen, and her friend tucked them safely into a pocket — or so they thought.

Sometime during the day’s fun, the rings slipped out and vanished into the soft white sand. Panic set in. They frantically searched the area, but as many find out, once jewelry is lost in the sand, it’s nearly impossible to find without help.

Nicole’s friend met me at the dune crossover and walked me down to their spot, explaining exactly what happened. I carefully moved their belongings aside, and just seconds into my search — I heard that unmistakable tone from my detector. Moments later, her rings were safely recovered!
