Engagement Ring Found in Bay Beach – lavallette NJ

Danielle had been enjoying a relaxing afternoon at a local bay beach with her fiancé Michael and her niece. After some time in the water and a visit to the playground, they decided to take one last swim before heading home. Danielle was only waist-deep, playing with her niece, when she looked down and realized her beautiful engagement ring was gone.

With the wind kicking up and the water cloudy, finding the ring without help was impossible. That’s when Danielle reached out to me, NJ Ring Finder. She was still standing exactly where the ring had slipped off, so I asked her to take a photo with fixed landmarks in the background, mark the shoreline, and secure the spot just in case another metal detectorist came by. I was on my way within 15 minutes.

I began searching the small target area right away, but no promising signals came through. I widened the search just a bit—still nothing. Danielle walked out to double-check the depth and confirmed this was the exact spot. The challenge? This bay beach was littered with trash signals left behind from Superstorm Sandy years ago.

After clearing numerous junk targets, I finally heard the signal I’d been hoping for. BINGO! Her engagement ring was in my scoop.

Recoveries like this are a reminder that even when a ring is “right there,” it can still be hidden under layers of debris, just waiting for the right person to find it.
